5K Run/Walk for Leukemia

Proceeds of the event will benefit local recipient who suffers from leukemia. The
recipient will be announced on race weekend. Start and finish lines located at
Wheeling's Heritage Port. Start time is 7:00 pm. The course is USATF Certified
#WV-03027-RT.
Post-race shower facilities available at CentreTown Fitness. This race is part of
the Washington County RRC Grand Prix. Three first aid stations throughout the
course.
Saturday night will feature two new retired numbers in memory of George Kellas and
LeeAnn Schambach. Race numbers 1, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69 and 911 have officially been retired.

August 6th and August 7th.
Packet pickup is August 6th from 4-6 pm and on race day 3-6 pm SHARP!

Championchip Timing
|
| This year's race will be timed by the The Runner's High using the championchip system. On race day, runners and walkers will be issued a rental computer chip, which is attached to the shoelace and worn throughout the race. Special mats at the finish line will record a finished time for each chip. Make sure you get the right chip assigned to you. All chips MUST be returned at the finish line or the participant will be assessed a non-refundable, unreturnable chip replacement fee of $35 . |
